Tired of creating multi-sample instruments, or hunting down one-shot samples one at a time? Preset Maker turns your Sample Packs and Maschine Expansions* into presets for your DAW, or into SFZ presets. Bundles one-shots into presets for nearly any Sample Pack**. Multi-samples with conventional filenames will automatically be made into instruments.
*Maschine Expansions can only convert instruments inside the Samples/Instruments folder. **Sample Packs must categorize one-shots into different folders to create one-shot keyword groups (most packs do this).
*Ableton requires the Sampler device.
Ableton presets are saved in the User Library : Sampler : Preset Maker Presets

Turn Multi-Sample Audio Files into Instrument Presets
Drop in a sample pack, or a folder of instrument sounds. The app will automatically find multi-samples inside the folders, create and organize them into a collection of organized instrument presets.
Note: The sample filenames must contain the following information:
The octave must be directly after the note. This is a common naming convention, so your files may be already named this way.
Note: Filenames that use MIDI numbers, rather than musical notes, are now supported as well.
Supports multi-velocity samples for mpc and ableton
If your files have multiple velocity samples per note, they will be turned into multi-velocity instruments.
Note: For multi-velocity files to be accepted, the filenames must be consistent for each note, but with the addition of the velocity.
They can be labeled by velocity “level” or velocity midi number.
Turn one-shots into easy-to-load preset groups
One-shots are grouped into “Keyword Group” presets. The app uses folder names to group categories of one-shot samples into different, organized presets.
For instance, folders of synth sounds may be turned into a preset loaded with all the synth one-shot sounds.
Maschine Expansions
Maschine Expansions can be dropped directly into Preset Maker. Most Expansions will create Multi-Sample instruments and group one-shots into Keyword Presets that are ready to load.
IMPORTANT: Not all Maschine instruments will be turned into multi-sample presets. Only instruments found in [Expansion Library]/Samples/Instruments can be made into instruments.
